About Us

Welcome to Sharon Lawrence Academy of Dance. Principal Sharon Lawrence, a former Musical Theatre professional, discovered her passion for teaching with over 42 years of experience. Many of her successful students have pursued professional dance careers, both locally and internationally, and often return to share their knowledge with current students.

We offer quality training for everyone, whether you aim to dance professionally, participate in team events, compete in solo’s, or just dance for fun and fitness. SLD competes in numerous events across the year, holds an annual Showcase, conducts Classical Ballet exams (R.A.D. syllabus), and stages an annual Musical Theatre display.

Our studios are fully equipped with sprung floors, ballet barres, mirrors, heating and cooling, a kitchen, and dressing rooms with lockers.
